Flow Yoga at Barefoot Works
A Rasa Vinyasa Workshop with Erin Smith, E.R.Y.T.
Rasa
means “to taste life” and is concerned with the transformation and
revitalization of energy. It’s about saying YES! to our lives. Rasa Vinyasa is
a fluid and energetic yoga practice used to cultivate creativity and gratitude.
Listen to the stories behind the poses and then unleash your inner Shiva,
Hanuman, and Parvati. This transformative vinyasa practice focuses on
challenging backbends, powerful arm balances, and hip openers. The eclectic
music, including ambient grooves, fusion jazz, tribal beats, and hip hop
chants, is perfect for letting go of all that holds you back. Liberate that
which binds you, identify your strengths, and illuminate your radiance!
Appropriate for all levels.

Ages 3-9
Tuesdays, August 31-September 28 from 4:30-5:30
$50 for 5 week session
Story time comes alive with songs and yoga poses. Carefully selected literature that naturally lends itself to yoga! As we read we'll come across people, animals, and elements of nature that we know from yoga. If we don’t know a pose, we make it up together! This is NOT your parents’ yoga class! There is singing, drawing, breathing, moving, dancing, partner yoga, and lots of laughing in this class.
Parents Note:
This is a Drop Off Class.
To avoid distractions, we ask that parents do not stay to watch.
Introduction to ayurveda
With Sharon Tessandori, eryt
“We are the pain and what cures it.
We are the sweet water and the jar that pours.” ~rumi
The ancient sages told us that everything that exists in nature exists within each of us. The beauty and the wisdom that you see in nature are very much who you are. Many of us can’t even fathom this concept. We fill deeply disconnected from our soul, believing ourselves to be only body and mind, getting caught up in the daily struggles of the body and mind. We forget who we are underneath which is pure magnificence.
Join Sharon to learn about the sister science of yoga, ayurveda. In this three hour workshop you’ll learn about the basics of the 5,000 plus year old practice. We’ll discuss the rich definition of health according to ayurveda and where all disease comes from. You’ll learn about the five elements, your particular body type, and how to live in harmony with your constitution. You’ll learn about your inner pharmacy and most importantly practical tools to use for self healing.

ABOUT DANIELLE: Danielle's interested toward yoga sparked in 2005, upon her graduation from the University of Massachusetts/Amherst. There was a calling, YOGA, and Danielle knew she had to start practicing. In Fall/2008, yet another calling came to become a Certified Yoga Teacher and she enrolled in a 200 Hour Teacher Training program in her hometown of Sharon, Massachusetts (focusing primarily on Hatha Vinyasa). She finished the program in June 2009, and began teaching classes rooted in the Vinyasa style. Upon entering a Forrest Yoga class in Boston, MA, a true passion was found. Danielle instantly knew she must meet Ana Forrest and enroll in her 200 Hour Foundational Teacher Training Program. She envisioned this over and over again until it would become a reality, which it did, as she completed the 200 Hour Forrest Foundational Teacher Training in Cranston, RI with Ana. Danielle is most thankful to the Forrest Yoga practice(and Ana), as it has allowed her to connect deeply with herself and the world at large. In addition to studying with Ana Forrest, Danielle has also studied with Cat Kabira, Amanda McMaine, and Shiva Rea. A-HO!!!
