Kay, our dear, sweet Children’s Yoga Director, is collecting donations for the Bluegrass Domestic Violence Shelter off Winchester Road.
She’s organizing a Christmas Party for the kids there in December. There are currently 24 kids living there (ages 0-15) with their mothers; they are way over capacity, but won't turn anyone away. They will be hosting a Santa’s Workshop for the children to choose small gifts for their mothers and for the mothers to choose gifts for their children. (This is all free to the families.)
Items suggested by the director
- Gifts for moms: scarves, mittens, lotions, make-up, purses and gift cards
- Gifts for kids: books, small toys, stuffed animals, art supplies
- Gifts for Shelter: diapers, hygiene products, cleaning supplies, towels, twin size sheets & comforters
You may also donate money and I will buy these items to share!
Please bring any donations to the studio by December 10.
